Current status: Valid as Pyrrhulina laeta (Cope 1872). Lebiasinidae: Pyrrhulininae. Distribution: South America: western Amazon River basin (?Brazil, Peru, Colombia); ? introduced in Trinidad and Tobago. Habitat: freshwater.
