Current status: Valid as Copella nattereri (Steindachner 1876). Lebiasinidae: Pyrrhulininae. Distribution: Amazon, Negro and upper Orinoco River basins: Brazil, Colombia, Guyana and Venezuela. Habitat: freshwater.
