Current status: Valid as Aphyocharax nattereri (Steindachner 1882). Characidae: Aphyocharacinae. Distribution: South America: Amazon and Paraguay River basins (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay and Peru). Habitat: freshwater.
