Type catalog: Bertin 1948:40 [ref. 19577]. •Valid as Hemigrammocharax uniocellatus (Pellegrin 1926) -- (Daget & Gosse 1984:195 [ref. 6185], Jerep & Vari 2013:31 [ref. 32557]). •Valid as Nannocharax uniocellatus (Pellegrin 1926) -- (Jerep et al. 2014:368 [ref. 33246], Jerep & Vari 2014:49 [ref. 33325], Munene et al. 2021:22 [ref. 39283], Manda et al. 2023:14 [ref. 40270], Musschoot 2024:351 [ref. 40817]). Current status: Valid as Nannocharax uniocellatus (Pellegrin 1926). Distichodontidae. Distribution: Central Africa: Congo River basin, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Habitat: freshwater.
