Current status: Valid as Steindachnerina bimaculata (Steindachner 1876). Curimatidae. Distribution: South America: Amazon and lower Orinoco River basins (Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela). Habitat: freshwater.
