Also appeared in Günther 1868:243 [ref. 5756]. •Valid as Curimata dobula Günther 1868 -- (Ortega & Vari 1986:11 [ref. 9708]). •Valid as Steindachnerina dobula (Günther 1868) -- (Vari 1991:66 [ref. 19019], Chang & Ortega 1995:6 [ref. 24302], Pavanelli & Britski 1999:216 [ref. 24224], Vari in Reis et al. 2003:60 [ref. 27061], Netto-Ferreira & Vari 2011:527 [ref. 31707], Barriga S. 2014:105 [ref. 35745], Sarmiento et al. 2014:186 [ref. 35004], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:43 [ref. 35633]). Current status: Valid as Steindachnerina dobula (Günther 1868). Curimatidae. Distribution: Western portions of Amazon River basin: Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. Habitat: freshwater.
