Lectotype: NMW 68900.1. Paralectotypes: NMW 68899 (2), 68900:2-3 (2). Species later illustrated and described in more detail in Steindachner 1882:80 [p. 20 in separate], Pl. 5 (fig. 2) [ref. 4233]. Lectotype selected by Vari 1991:69 [ref. 19019]. •Valid as Cruxentina nasa (Steindachner 1882) -- (Ovchynnyk 1967:31 [ref. 37559]). •Valid as Curimata nasa Steindachner 1882 -- (Ortega & Vari 1986:11 [ref. 9708]). •Synonym of Steindachnerina dobula (Günther 1868) -- (Vari 1991:66 [ref. 19019], Vari in Reis et al. 2003:60 [ref. 27061]). Current status: Synonym of Steindachnerina dobula (Günther 1868). Curimatidae. Habitat: freshwater.
