hakonensis, Leuciscus Günther [A.] 1877:442 [Annals and Magazine of Natural History (Series 4) v. 20 (no. 119) (art. 56); ref. 2009] Lake Hakone, Japan. Holotype (unique): BMNH 1879.5.14.639. Also described as new in Günther 1880:72, Pl. 31 (fig. B) [ref. 2011]. Current status: Valid as Pseudaspius hakonensis (Günther 1877). Leuciscidae: Pseudaspininae. Distribution: East Asia: Northwestern Pacific watersheds, coastal rivers and lakes. Habitat: freshwater, brackish.
