kiatingensis, Pseudogobio Wu [H.-W.] 1930:70, Fig. 1 [Sinensia v. 1 (no. 6); ref. 16240] Lo-Shan (formerly Kiating), upper Chang Jiang [Yangtze River] drainage, southwestern Szechwan Province, China. Holotype: whereabouts unknown. •Synonym of Microphysogobio brevirostris (Günther 1868), but a valid subspecies -- (Bănărescu & Nalbant 1966:195 [ref. 20622]). •Valid as Microphysogobio kiatingensis (Wu 1930) -- (Zheng et al. 1989:145 [ref. 21202], Jin in Pan et al. 1991:214 [ref. 23876], Ding 1994:294 [ref. 21531], Zhu 1995:83 [ref. 25213], Yue in Chen et al. 1998:358 [ref. 23878], Tang et al. 2001:13 [ref. 25373], Kottelat 2006:88 [ref. 28831], Ying et al. 2011:66 [ref. 31333], Jiang et al. 2012:212 [ref. 32331], Zhang et al. 2016:74 [ref. 34477], Huang et al. 2016:207 [ref. 34842], Huang et al. 2017:table 1 [ref. 35245], Huang et al. 2018:[20] [ref. 36342], Zhang et al. 2019:252 [ref. 36699]). Current status: Valid as Microphysogobio kiatingensis (Wu 1930). Gobionidae. Distribution: Upper Yangtze River basin, Sichuan Province, southern China. Habitat: freshwater.
