See Das 2003:360 [ref. 27706] with authorship as Hora & Mukerji. •Synonym of Rasbora daniconius (Hamilton 1822), but a valid subspecies -- (Brittan 1954:142 [ref. 646]). •Valid as Parluciosoma labiosa (Mukerji 1935) -- (Talwar & Jhingran 1991:383 [ref. 20764], Menon 1999:52 [ref. 24904]). •Valid as Rasbora labiosa Mukerji 1935 -- (Yadav 2000:40 [ref. 25661], Vishwanath & Laisram 2005:429 [ref. 28249], Liao et al. 2009:[4] [ref. 30521], Silva et al. 2010:47 [ref. 30779], Liao et al. 2010:166 [ref. 30521], Plamoottil 2016:24 [ref. 34948], Bleher 2018:750 [ref. 36647]). Current status: Valid as Rasbora labiosa Mukerji 1935. Danionidae: Rasborinae. Distribution: Western Ghats, Peninsular India. Habitat: freshwater.
