Spelled maculosus p. 297 and on plate caption (p. 315); but spelled maculatus on p. 417 and in index (p. 470). First reviser apparently Tang et al. 2010:203 giving preference to maculatus. •Synonym of Opsarius tileo (Hamilton 1822) -- (Kottelat 2013:132 [ref. 32989]). •Valid as Opsarius maculatus McClelland 1839 -- (Knight et al. 2015:405 [ref. 33702], Bleher 2018:623 [ref. 36647]). Current status: Valid as Opsarius maculatus McClelland 1839. Danionidae: Chedrinae. Distribution: Uttar Pradesh, India and possibly Bangladesh. Habitat: freshwater.
