Holotype (unique): NMBA 1065 (female). Type catalog: Kottelat & Sutter 1988:55 [ref. 13796]. Original genus is correctly Hemiramphus. •Valid as Dermogenys weberi (Boulenger 1897) -- (Brembach 1991:171 [ref. 20227], Kottelat et al. 1993:85 [ref. 23448], Meisner & Louie 2000:366 [ref. 25079]). •Valid as Nomorhamphus weberi (Boulenger 1897) -- (Meisner 2001:266 [ref. 25599], Collette 2004:19 [ref. 27583], Huylebrouck et al. 2012:483 [ref. 32159], Kottelat 2013:295 [ref. 32989], Huylebrouck et al. 2014:204 [ref. 33515], Miesen et al. 2016:86 [ref. 34492], Kraemer et al. 2019:296 [ref. 37368]). Current status: Valid as Nomorhamphus weberi (Boulenger 1897). Zenarchopteridae. Distribution: Lakes Matano and Mahalona, Sulawesi Selatan, Indonesia. Habitat: freshwater.
