For authorship, see Scharpf 2015:499 [ref. 33890]. •Synonym of Tor tambra (Valenciennes 1842) -- (Lim et al. 1990:37 [ref. 16753], Roberts 1993:22-23 [ref. 21799]). •Tentatively valid -- (Kottelat et al. 1993:49 [ref. 2//3448]). •May belong in the genus Neolissochilus Rainboth 1985 -- (Roberts 1999:234 [ref. /23900]). •Valid as Tor soro (Valenciennes 1842) -- (Kottelat 2000:86 [ref. 25486]). •Synonym of Neolissochilus sorodes (Duncker 1904) -- (Khaironizam et al. 2015:153 [ref. 33812] with authorship as Bishop 1973). •Valid as Neolissochilus soro (Valenciennes 1842) -- (Kottelat 2013:127 [ref. 32989] with qualifications, Jaafar et al. 2021:3 [ref. 38256], Hasan et al. 2022:6035 [ref. 39888], Jamaluddin et al. 2022:[6] [ref. 39245]). Current status: Valid as Neolissochilus soro (Valenciennes 1842). Cyprinidae: Torinae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Indonesia. Habitat: freshwater.
