Original genus should have been Macrourus. •Valid as Chalinura fernandezianus (Günther 1887) -- (Pequeño 1989:45 [ref. 14125] with wrong author). •Valid as Coryphaenoides fernandezianus (Günther 1887) -- (Iwamoto & Sazonov 1988:77 [ref. 6228], Pequeño 1989:45 [ref. 14125], Iwamoto in Cohen et al. 1990:201 [ref. 18936], Iwamoto & Graham 2001:462 [ref. 25637] as cf. fernandezianus, Iwamoto et al. 2004:202 [ref. 27643], Bray et al. 2006:592 [ref. 29065], Iwamoto & McMillan 2008:334 [ref. 30636], McMillan & Iwamoto 2015:792 [ref. 34263]). Current status: Valid as Coryphaenoides fernandezianus (Günther 1887). Macrouridae. Distribution: Juan Fernádez Island and off eastern Australia and New Zealand region. Habitat: marine.
