Zoologie) v. 1 (fasc. 5); ref. 589] Boma swamps, lower Congo River system, 5°51'S, 13°03'E, western Democratic Republic of Congo. Holotype (unique): MRAC 989. •Valid as Aplocheilus singa (Boulenger 1899) -- (Radda 1980:2 [ref. 31297]). •Valid as Epiplatys singa (Boulenger 1899) -- (Wildekamp et al. 1986:259 [ref. 6198], Wildekamp 1996:122 [ref. 23649], Seegers 1997:16 [ref. 23895], Aarn & Shepherd 2001:223 [ref. 25699], Lazara 2001:113 [ref. 25711], van der Zee et al. 2007:91 [ref. 30034], Skelton 2019:227 [ref. 36564], Huber 2020:5 [ref. 37934], Fermon et al. 2022:264 [ref. 39448], Walsh et al. 2022:[5] [ref. 39281], Huber 2024:37 [ref. 41036]). Current status: Valid as Epiplatys singa (Boulenger 1899). Nothobranchiidae. Distribution: Western-central Africa: Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon and Angola. Habitat: freshwater.
