A.] 1911:266 [Annals and Magazine of Natural History (Series 8) v. 8 (no. 44); ref. 578] Swamps between Agwarba and Awka, southern Nigeria [Swamps between Agwarba and Awka, and mouths of Niger and Old Calabar rivers]. Lectotype: BMNH 1911.3.31.34. Paralectotypes: BMNH 1911.3.31.35-39 (5); and probably not this species: BMNH 1908.6.3.13 (1, mouth of the Niger, = Epiplatys grahami) and 1909.4.2.10-11 (2, Old Calabar, Nigeria, = Epiplatys infrafasciatus or E. togolensis). Lectotype selected by Huber 2024:17 [ref. 41036]. •Valid as Epiplatys longiventralis (Boulenger 1911) -- (Wildekamp et al. 1986:254 [ref. 6198], Romand in Lévêque et al. 1992:635 [ref. 21590], Wildekamp 1996:87 [ref. 23649], Seegers 1997:16 [ref. 23895], Lazara 2001:108 [ref. 25711], Huber 2024:20 [ref. 41036], van der Zee 2024:62 [ref. 41037]). Current status: Valid as Epiplatys longiventralis (Boulenger 1911). Nothobranchiidae. Distribution: Western-central Africa: Niger delta, southern Nigeria. Habitat: freshwater.
