Holotype (unique): whereabouts unknown. Genus should have been spelled Aphredoderus. Genus was spelled Aphredoderus on p. 44 but appeared as Aphrodedirus on subsequent pages. •Synonym of Aphredoderus sayanus (Gilliams 1824), subspecies gibbosus Lesueur 1833 -- (Poly 2004:2, 3 [ref. 27585]). •Synonym of Aphredoderus gibbosus Lesueur 1833 -- (Muller & Simons 2024:85 [ref. 40853]).
