Current status: Valid as Poromitra coronata (Gilchrist & von Bonde 1924). Melamphaidae. Distribution: Eastern Atlantic: Masuritania south to South Africa; southwestern Indian Ocean: South Africa to southwestern Madagascar. Habitat: marine.
