Paratypes: BPBM 27848 (1), 27851 (1); CAS 50705-06 (1, 1); SIO 68-473 (1), 82-63 (1); USNM 227440 (1), 233742 (1). •Valid as Eptatretus carlhubbsi Wisner & McMillan 1984 -- (Fernholm 1991:117 [ref. 20219], Fernholm & Paxton 1998:1192 [ref. 23784], Fernholm 1998:34 [ref. 23976], Myers & Donaldson 2003:609 [ref. 27495] as Eptaptretus, Mundy 2005:86 [ref. 28379], Mincarone & Stewart 2006:225 [ref. 28682], Fernholm & Mincarone 2010:1002 [ref. 30998], Knapp et al. 2011:404 [ref. 37507]). Current status: Valid as Eptatretus carlhubbsi McMillan & Wisner 1984. Myxinidae: Eptatretinae. Distribution: Western and central Pacific: Guam, Horizon Seamount (near Wake Island), Hawaiian Islands. Habitat: marine.
