Current status: Valid as Doras micropoeus (Eigenmann 1912). Doradidae: Doradinae. Distribution: South America: Essequibo, Demerara and Corantijn River basins, and possibly other drainages to mouth of Amazon River (French Guiana, Guyana and Suriname; ?Venezuela). Habitat: freshwater.
