Holotype: CAS-SU 33012. Paratypes: BMNH 1938.12.1.132 [from Herre] (1) Johore; CAS-SU 33013 (2). Additional material: Raffles Mus. (4) Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:40 [ref. 12291]. •Valid as Homaloptera tweediei Herre 1940 -- (Roberts 1989:90 [ref. 6439], Kottelat et al. 1993:54 [ref. 23448], Rainboth 1996:125 [ref. 22772], Doi 1997:19 [ref. 22832], Kottelat 1998:271 [ref. 23656], Ng & Tan 1999:356 [ref. 24159], Kottelat 2001:97 [ref. 25780]). •Valid as Homalopteroides tweediei (Herre 1940) -- (Randall & Page 2012:335 [ref. 32354], Kottelat 2012:51 [ref. 32367], Kottelat 2013:188 [ref. 32989], Randall & Page 2014:166 [ref. 33335], Randall & Page 2015:69 [ref. 33701], Ng et al. 2019:520 [ref. 36606], Taki et al. 2021:235 [ref. 39830]). Current status: Valid as Homalopteroides tweediei (Herre 1940). Balitoridae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Sundaland to southern Laos. Habitat: freshwater.
