microps, Imparfinis Eigenmann [C. H.] & Fisher [H. G.] in Eigenmann 1916:82 [Annals of the Carnegie Museum v. 10 (nos 1-2) (art. 6); ref. 1233] Río Negro at Villavicencio, Colombia. Holotype: FMNH 57793 [ex CM 6776 (78 mm), not 8778]. Non-types: FMNH (5). Type catalog: Henn 1928:76 [ref. 12305], Ibarra & Stewart 1987:49 [ref. 12367], Ferraris 2007:186 [ref. 29155]. Described from one specimen but Eigenmann 1922 mentions paratypes. •Not in genus Imparfinis, probably near Heptapterus -- (Mees & Cala 1989:382 [ref. 14277]). •Valid as Imparfinis microps Eigenmann & Fisher 1916 -- (Burgess 1989:277 [ref. 12860], Bockmann & Guazzelli in Reis et al. 2003:414 [ref. 27061], Ferraris 2007:186 [ref. 29155], Ortega-Lara et al. 2011:791 [ref. 31716], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:90 [ref. 35633], Urbano-Bonilla et al. 2018:79 [ref. 35773], Cortés-Hernández et al. 2023:13 [ref. 40341]). Current status: Valid as Imparfinis microps Eigenmann & Fisher 1916. Heptapteridae: Heptapterinae. Distribution: South America: Meta River basin, Colombia. Habitat: freshwater.
