Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:65 [ref. 12291], Blanc & Hureau 1971:714 [ref. 21541]. •Synonym of Atherinops affinis (Ayres 1860) -- (Dyer 1997:47 [ref. 23262]). Current status: Synonym of Atherinops affinis (Ayres 1860). Atherinopsidae: Atherinopsinae. Habitat: brackish, marine.
