Holotype (unique): RMNH 6080. •Synonym of Caranx sexfasciatus Quoy & Gaimard 1825 -- (Daget & Smith-Vaniz 1986:313 [ref. 6207], Kottelat 2013:333 [ref. 32989]). Current status: Synonym of Caranx sexfasciatus Quoy & Gaimard 1825. Carangidae: Caranginae. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
