Type catalog: Menon & Yazdani 1968:128 [ref. 20743], Ferraris 2007:388 [ref. 29155]. •Synonym of Glyptothorax housei Herre 1942 -- (Menon 1999:244 [ref. 24904]). •Valid as Glyptothorax anamalaiensis Silas 1952 -- (Burgess 1989:132 [ref. 12860], Talwar & Jhingran 1991:648 [ref. 20764], Jayaram 2006:212 [ref. 28762] as anamaliensis, Thomson & Page 2006:42 [ref. 28859], Ferraris 2007:388 [ref. 29155], Gopi 2010:57 [ref. 30877], Dahanukar et al. 2011:1886 [ref. 31441], Plamoottil & Abraham 2013:22 [ref. 32693]). Current status: Valid as Glyptothorax anamalaiensis Silas 1952. Sisoridae: Sisorinae. Distribution: Peninsula India. Habitat: freshwater.
