Syntypes: (58) AMG [ex NMP 1416] (33, now 32), SAM 19018 [now at AMG] (15 + 1). Lectotype not designated by Greenwood & Jubb 1967:37 [ref. 1901] as photo of type. •Valid as Oreodaimon quathlambae (Barnard 1938) -- (Lévêque & Daget 1984:330 [ref. 6186], Poll & Gosse 1995:163 [ref. 24781]). •Valid as Pseudobarbus quathlambae (Barnard 1938) -- (Skelton 1988:290 [ref. 7302], Skelton 1993:127 [ref. 24071], Skelton 2001:127 [ref. 27406], Chakona & Swartz 2013:568 [ref. 32786], Chakona et al. 2014:122 [ref. 33568], Hayes & Armbruster 2017:356 [ref. 35417], Skelton et al. 2018:16 [ref. 35835]). Current status: Valid as Pseudobarbus quathlambae (Barnard 1938). Cyprinidae: Smiliogastrinae. Distribution: Southern Africa: rivers in the Drakensberg-Maloti Highlands, Lesotho, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Habitat: freshwater.
