Type catalog: Bauchot et al. 1983:48 [ref. 21546]. •Valid as Pomadasys auritus (Cuvier 1830) -- (Johnson in Randall & Lim 2000:619 [ref. 25122], Hutchins 2001:35 [ref. 25847], McKay 2001:2985 [ref. 26103], Allen et al. 2006:1224 [ref. 29090], Parenti 2019:168 [ref. 37021]). Current status: Valid as Pomadasys auritus (Cuvier 1830). Haemulidae: Haemulinae. Distribution: Western Pacific: Gulf of Thailand endemic. Habitat: marine.
