Current status: Valid as Ostorhinchus multilineatus (Bleeker 1874). Apogonidae: Apogoninae. Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean, western Pacific: Sumatra (Indonesia) east to New Ireland (Papua New Guinea), north to Philippines, south to Solomon Islands. Habitat: marine.
