Type catalog: Nijssen et al. 1982:37 [ref. 19236]. •Synonym of Tor chelynoides (McClelland 1838) -- (Talwar & Jhingran 1991:302 [ref. 20764]). •Valid as Tor zhobensis Mirza 1967 -- (Coad 1981:13 [ref. 22348], Mirza & Javed 1986:76 [ref. 23030], Kullander et al. 1999:152 [ref. 23689]). •Valid as Naziritor zhobensis (Mirza 1967) -- (Mirza & Javed 1992:99 [ref. 23458], Rafique 2000:324 [ref. 25220], Mirza 2000:355 [ref. 25207], Mirza 2003:8 [ref. 27265], Çiçek et al. 2023:51 [ref. 40326]). Current status: Valid as Naziritor zhobensis (Mirza 1967). Cyprinidae: Torinae. Distribution: South Asia: Zhob River (Pakistan) endemic. Habitat: freshwater.
