Lectotype: BMNH 1900.4.14.16. Paralectotypes: BMNH 1895.1.30.6-9 (4). Spelled commbae on p. viii. Eigenmann's manuscript name Biotodoma commbrae is in synonymy. Described independently as corubrae in Eigenmann & Ward 1907. Also seen as corumbae in literature.
