Current status: Valid as Chrysoblephus anglicus (Gilchrist & Thompson 1908). Sparidae. Distribution: Southwestern Indian Ocean: Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa) north to southern Mozambique. Habitat: marine.
