Holotype (unique): BMNH 1933.2.23.419. •Valid as Haplochromis dolorosus Trewavas 1933 -- (van Oijen et al. 1991:122 [ref. 20956]). Current status: Valid as Haplochromis dolorosus Trewavas 1933. Cichlidae: Pseudocrenilabrinae. Distribution: Eastern Africa: Chambura River. Habitat: freshwater.
