Paratypes: BMNH 1933.2.23.181-193 (13). •Valid as Haplochromis velifer Trewavas 1933 -- (Greenwood 1965:319 [ref. 20617], van Oijen et al. 1991:180 [ref. 20956]). Current status: Valid as Haplochromis velifer Trewavas 1933. Cichlidae: Pseudocrenilabrinae. Distribution: Eastern Africa: Lake Nabugabo. Habitat: freshwater.
