Current status: Valid as Pseudanos gracilis (Kner 1858). Anostomidae. Distribution: South America: central Amazon basin, including Rio Negro, Rio Branco, Rio Uatumã and Rio Madeira basins (Brazil, Ecuador?, Bolivia, Peru and Venezuela). Habitat: freshwater.
