Lectotype: BMNH 1930.1.31.279-281 (157-mm male). Paralectotypes: BMNH 1930.1.31.279-281 (2 of 3). Lectotype established in Eccles & Trewavas 1989:125, Fig. 57 [ref. 13547] as a 157-mm male. •Valid as Lethrinops christyi Trewavas 1931 -- (Eccles & Trewavas 1989:124 [ref. 13547], Maréchal 1991:234 [ref. 20944], Konings 2016:398 [ref. 34521]). Current status: Valid as Lethrinops christyi Trewavas 1931. Cichlidae: Pseudocrenilabrinae. Distribution: Eastern Africa: Lake Malawi. Habitat: freshwater.
