Type catalog: Blanc 1962:216 [ref. 20868]. •Valid as Taeniolethrinops laticeps (Trewavas 1931) -- (Eccles & Trewavas 1989:261 [ref. 13547], Maréchal 1991:467 [ref. 20944], Ngatunga & Snoeks 2004:257 [ref. 28115], Konings 2016:386 [ref. 34521]). Current status: Valid as Taeniolethrinops laticeps (Trewavas 1931). Cichlidae: Pseudocrenilabrinae. Distribution: Eastern Africa: Lake Malawi. Habitat: freshwater.
