Also listed was Plate XXVII, but on preface p. vi it is stated, "The Plates referred to, and executed by Mr. Ford, will be published as a separate volume." •Valid as Girella zonata Günther 1859 -- (Desoutter 1990:833 [ref. 18967], but see Wirtz et al. 2013:128 [ref. 32972], Knudsen & Clements 2013:78 [ref. 33031], Yagishita in Carpenter & De Angelis 2016:2416 [ref. 34618]). Current status: Uncertain as Girella zonata Günther 1859. Girellidae. Distribution: Australian Seas; not from the Cape Verde Islands [R. Robertson pers. commun. 01/20]. Habitat: marine.
