Holotype: USNM 120533. Paratypes: USNM 120534 (1). •Valid as Petenia myersi Schultz 1944 -- (Ovchynnyk 1967:42 [ref. 37559], Burgess 2000:56 [ref. 24818], Miller 2006:373 [ref. 28615]). •Valid as Caquetaia myersi (Schultz 1944) -- (Kullander in Reis et al. 2003:619 [ref. 27061], Barriga Salazar 2014:118 [ref. 35745], Říčan et al. 2016:29 [ref. 34357], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:99 [ref. 35633]). Current status: Valid as Caquetaia myersi (Schultz 1944). Cichlidae: Cichlinae. Distribution: South America: Amazon River basin in Putumayo and Napo River basins (Colombia and Ecuador). Habitat: freshwater.
