Holotype: BMNH 1952.2.26.37. Paratypes: BMNH 1952.2.26.5 (1, allotype), 1952.2.26.28-36 (9) and .38 (1). Published as Lowe, but mostly published as Lowe-McConnell. •Valid as Oreochromis korogwe (Lowe 1955) -- (Trewavas & Teugels 1991:318 [ref. 20954], Seegers et al. 2003:44 [ref. 28087]). Current status: Valid as Oreochromis korogwe (Lowe 1955). Cichlidae: Pseudocrenilabrinae. Distribution: Zigi and Pangani basins, eastern Africa. Habitat: freshwater.
