Holotype (unique): ?BMNH 1868.5.30.110. Distribution: Western Indian Ocean: KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa), East Africa, Socotra, Seychelles, Aldabra (Seychelles), Comoros, Madagascar and Mascarenes (La Réunion, Mauritius, Rodrigues) east to Chagos Archipelago. Habitat: marine.
