robinsoni, Hoplegnathus (Scarostoma) Regan [C. T.] 1916:168 [Annals of the Durban Museum v. 1 (pt 3); ref. 12509] Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, southwestern Indian Ocean. Holotype (unique): BMNH 1915.7.6.15. Original genus should have been Oplegnathus. •Valid as Oplegnathus robinsoni Regan 1916 -- (Heemstra 1986:632 [ref. 5660], Heemstra & Heemstra 2004:296 [ref. 28072], Fricke et al. 2018:247 [ref. 35805], Heemstra 2022:19 [ref. 39870]). Current status: Valid as Oplegnathus robinsoni Regan 1916. Oplegnathidae. Distribution: Western Indian Ocean: Western Cape, Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa) and Mozambique to Madagascar. Habitat: marine.
