Original genus should have been Oplegnathus. •Valid as Oplegnathus woodwardi Waite 1900 -- (Gomon et al. 1994:637 [ref. 22532], Bray & Hoese 2006:1349 [ref. 29049] with a holotype, Gomon 2008:620 [ref. 30616], Stewart & Trnksi 2015:1335 [ref. 34206], Knudsen & Clements 2016:259 [ref. 34458] in family Kyphosidae, Hoschke et al. 2019:157 [ref. 36626]). Current status: Valid as Oplegnathus woodwardi Waite 1900. Oplegnathidae. Distribution: Southeastern Indian Ocean, southwestern Pacific: Australia and New Zealand. Habitat: marine.
