sanctaehelenae, Pomacentrus Sauvage [H.-E.] 1879:207 [Bulletin de la Société philomathique de Paris (7th Série) v. 3; ref. 13259] Lemon Valley Bay, Saint Helena Island, South Atlantic, depth 5-7 meters [original locality was St. Helena]. Neotype: MNHN 1986-0450. Type catalog: Bauchot et al. 1978:36 [ref. 20862] as no type at MNHN. Neotype designated by Edwards & Glass 1987:653 [ref. 9166]. Originally as sanctae-helenae, correction mandatory. •Synonym of Pomacentrus leucostictus Müller & Troschel 1848 -- (Lloris & Rucabado 1990:849 [ref. 15959]). •Valid as Stegastes sanctaehelenae (Sauvage 1879) -- (Edwards & Glass 1987:650 [ref. 9166], Allen 1991:254 [ref. 19344], Edwards in Carpenter & De Angelis 2016:2731 [ref. 34618], Brown et al. 2019:164 [ref. 36444]). Current status: Valid as Stegastes sanctaehelenae (Sauvage 1879). Pomacentridae. Distribution: Southern central Atlantic: Saint Helena endemic. Habitat: marine.
