Syntypes: BMNH 1943.4.27.142-145 (4). •Valid as Rhabdalestes rhodesiensis (Ricardo-Bertram 1943) -- (Paugy 1984:182 [ref. 6183], Skelton 2001:204 [ref. 27406], Stiassny & Schaefer 2005:275 [ref. 28336], Marshall 2011:137 [ref. 31755] mention, Boden 2024:43 [ref. 40817]). Current status: Valid as Rhabdalestes rhodesiensis (Ricardo-Bertram 1943). Alestidae. Distribution: Central Africa: upper Congo River basin, Zambia and Democratic Republic of Congo. Habitat: freshwater.
