Holotype (unique): ZMA 112463. Type catalog: Nijssen et al. 1982:93 [ref. 19236]. •Doubtful status -- (Cantwell 1964:245 [ref. 23974]). •Valid as Parapercis striolata (Weber 1913) -- (Randall 2001:3505 [ref. 26283], Larson et al. 2013:174 [ref. 32988], Ho 2014:581 [ref. 33486], Ho 2014:77 [ref. 33574], Gloerfelt-Tarp & Kailola 2022:253 [ref. 41223]). Current status: Valid as Parapercis striolata (Weber 1913). Pinguipedidae. Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean, western Pacific: Indonesia east to Philippines, north to Taiwan and southern Japan, south to Northern Territory (Australia). Habitat: marine.
