Holotype: USNM 106511. Paratypes: FMNH 36653-60 (8); USNM 109263-64 (52, 32). Type catalog: Ibarra & Stewart 1987:19 [ref. 12367], Vari & Howe 1991:11 [ref. 19022]. •Synonym of Bryconamericus emperador (Eigenmann & Ogle 1907) -- (Román-Valencia 2002:179 [ref. 26370]). •Valid as Bryconamericus zeteki Hildebrand 1938 -- (Silva in Reis et al. 2003:119 [ref. 27061]). •Synonym of Eretmobrycon emperador (Eigenmann & Ogle 1907) -- (Malabarba 2024:155 [ref. 40817]). Current status: Synonym of Eretmobrycon emperador (Eigenmann & Ogle 1907). Characidae: Stevardiinae. Habitat: freshwater.
