Syntypes: NMW 28509-10 (2). Original genus should have been Xyrichtys. •Synonym of Xyrichtys novacula (Linnaeus 1758) -- (Randall 1986:706 [ref. 5706], Gomon & Forsyth 1990:881 [ref. 19219], Parenti & Randall 2000:49 [ref. 24943]). Current status: Synonym of Xyrichtys novacula (Linnaeus 1758). Labridae. Habitat: marine.
