Lectotype: AMS I.7711. Paralectotypes: (many): AMS I.7712, ?WAM. Type catalog: Not treated by Moore et al. 2008 [ref. 30117]. Original genus should have been Ophiclinus. Lectotype selected by George & Springer 1980:22 [ref. 6935]. •Valid as Ophiclinus gracilis Waite 1906 -- (George & Springer 1980:19 [ref. 6935], Kuiter 1993:333 [ref. 23929], Gomon et al. 1994:770 [ref. 22532], Kuiter 1997:340 [ref. 25488], Hutchins 2001:41 [ref. 25847], Hoese 2006:1537 [ref. 28998], Hoese et al. 2008:719 [ref. 30657], Patzner et al. 2009:467 [ref. 30396], Hoschke et al. 2019:159 [ref. 36626]). Current status: Valid as Ophiclinus gracilis Waite 1906. Clinidae. Distribution: Southeastern Indian Ocean, southwestern Pacific: New South Wales to Western Australia. Habitat: marine.
