Distribution: South America: Amazon River basin, northern and eastern Guiana Shield rivers and coastal rivers of northern Brazil (Brazil, Colombia, Bolivia, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru, Suriname and Venezuela). Habitat: freshwater.
