Syntypes: AMS I.1693-94 (1, 1). Original genus should have been Tripterygion. •Valid as Norfolkia striaticeps (Ramasay & Ogilby 1888) -- (Fricke 1991:339 [ref. 19545], Gomon et al. 1994:738 [ref. 22532]). •Synonym of Trinorfolkia clarkei (Morton 1888) -- (Fricke 1994:541 [ref. 21827], Fricke 1997:586 [ref. 23339], Hoese 2006:1527 [ref. 28988], Fricke 2009:35 [ref. 30394]). Current status: Synonym of Trinorfolkia clarkei (Morton 1888). Tripterygiidae: Tripterygiinae. Habitat: marine.
